Bradenton Veterinary Emergency is looking to add one to two full time ER veterinarians. We are located very close to the beautiful Gulf beaches on Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key, so if you are looking to live where you vacation, this is the job for you! Love ER medicine, but hate crazy schedules? We have a rotating schedule that is easily adapted to time off and averages six shifts per two weeks. The night schedule allows for great use of your days for errands or fun activities such as kayaking, boating, beach, great restaurants, local nature preserves and farmers’ markets. We see a wide variety of cases and have specialists available for referral within 30-60 minutes (15-50 miles). Our area also has a pet ambulance service that makes transfers to the family vets seamless! We have the latest in house IDEXX blood machines, doppler blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, digital radiography with the ability to send out for specialist consult, fully equipped surgical suite, and a fantastic support staff.
Applicant Qualifications: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent with license in good standing Preferably 1+ years in an emergency hospital preferred, new graduate considered (mentorship available) Professional demeanor and appearance, with caring customer service oriented attitude and a positive, friendly attitude with both clients and staff Ability to make quick and sound decisions in emergent situations as well as effectively communicate the plan with clients and staff Ability to work with a wide variety of clients A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
