Our practice started in 1989. Kathy Purcell, a graduate from the University of Florida, started out as a single practitioner in a newly built practice in a very small town. The practice started to grow, and her first associate, Karen Pittelli, was hired in 1990. Since then, we have gone through many good changes, such as becoming an AAHA accredited hospital early on in 1991, having an expansion... in 2006, and gaining many new employees. Many of our staff are long term employees, some going back to the when the practice opened. We try to stay up with the changing needs of our clients, from maintaining our relationships with our Baby Boomers to learning the ways of the Millennials. We see your basic small animal patient, but also work with ferrets, pot belly pigs, ducks, pet chickens, and other. We had our non-rabies vector wildlife license for a while, and that was fun. We stay on top of technology, and continuing education is at the forefront of our learning.
