Protector of Animals is seeking an experienced, skilled veterinary technician for their new high volume/ high quality spay neuter clinic: POA SPAY!
Primary responsibilities include: Pre-medicate, induce, intubate, prep and recover dogs and cats Monitor anesthesia, with a clear idea of abnormal conditions Handle and track controlled substances Follow standard operating procedures and protocols Able to respond appropriately during an emergency Able to handle (on average) 30-35 dogs and cats per day
Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills Strong veterinary technician experience and skills. Team player and mission focus Self motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment Work well under pressure Able to work standing or sitting for 8-10 hours a day Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with help Able to bend and kneel repeatedly and have good flexibility
