We are looking for a full or part time veterinarian with companion animal experience to join our small animal practice in beautiful Tavares, Fla. Tavares is located 30 minutes Northwest of Orlando, with excellent schools and a friendly, growing community. Our facility features three exam rooms, one surgical suite, and a fully equipped in house diagnostic laboratory plus a well-trained, experienced support team.
Our veterinary clinic specializes in dogs, cats, and common pocket pets and focuses on preventative medicine as well as surgical intervention. We are looking for a motivated team player to deliver five-star client service and patient care in a friendly, supportive atmosphere with other dedicated professionals.
Candidate must possess a valid veterinary license issued by a State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
SCHEDULE: Full Time- 35/40 hours per week. This position will work 4-5 days per week with the exact schedule to be determined based upon clinic needs. Part Time- This position may work up to 2-3 days per week with exact schedule to be determined based upon clinic needs. Number of hours negotiable. Both positions will be arranged and coordinated in rotation with current staff to ensure work/life balance for all.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Examine and treat animals by appointment, as well as on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cultivate positive relationships with customers and their animals through regular communication and excellent record-keeping. Prioritize traumatic injuries and serious illnesses to sure that all animals receive time senstive care. Perform and assist with common general surgical procedures with confidence. Promote and encourage health of animals by advising clients of the importance of preventative care such as vaccinations, dental care, veterinary diets, and educating clients on the care of their pet.
